Balanced Living & Productivity Expert Susan Sly Explored How One Becomes Mentally Tough

Best-selling author, time management expert, and work life balance specialist, speaker, and performance coach Susan Sly releases new article sharing how to become more mentally tough for greater success

Scottsdale, AZ. — July 6, 2017— Best-selling author, speaker, and entrepreneur Susan Sly recently published a new article, “How to Become More Mentally Tough for Greater Success in Life, Health, and Wealth.”

As Susan starts out, “If mental toughness is the “X-factor” for greater success in life, health, and wealth, it’s clear that developing or improving mental toughness is vital.”

Experts, she reveals, say the key is consistency. All other factors – such as desire, motivation, intelligence, and even skill – are secondary and fleeting. Thus, Susan says, “It’s what you do in the times when your usual tools fail you, that determines mental toughness.”

The first key to consistency, Susan shares, is “habit.” As she elaborates, “Good habits help you stay consistent.”

Susan then provides several specific ways good habits help you stay consistent. Some of these including not missing appointments with yourself or others, not getting discouraged or judging yourself based on immediate efforts, and not basing effort on “feeling like it,” or emotion.

From there, she gives additional ways the reader can become mentally tough. However, she reminds, “Perhaps one of the greatest keys to developing or improving mental toughness is recognizing that it’s not about motivation, but developing habits that push you forward when motivation is not there.”
