Best-Selling Author Susan Sly explores what it means to think outside the box and whether or not thinking outside the box is the right answer for business confidence and success.
Scottsdale, Az. â March 2, 2015 â Best-selling author, speaker, and entrepreneur Susan Sly recently published a new article, âLearn to Think Outside the Box? Why Not Throw Away the Box to Be More Confident and Successful?â In the article, Susan explains what others most often mean when they say to âthink outside the boxâ and how expecting a thinking outside the box approach to problem solving in business can actually hinder confidence and effectiveness.
Susan elaborates, âJust the words â âinside the boxâ â can evoke panicky thoughts for many. Yet, for some, considering âoutside the boxâ is a scary and frightening. It can imply going âout thereâ where itâs unknown and where youâre kind of on your own. Neither option â inside the box or outside the box â evokes empowering subconscious imagery.â
She then goes on to describe an alternate scenario whereby the reader will ââĤthrow the box away.â
As Susan says, âLiving an authentic life and running an authentic business is doing what is true for you and yourself or your business because itâs what is best and for no other reason. Itâs about taking chances when you believe there is a good reason and itâs about playing it safe because itâs the right thing to do at the time. Itâs not born out of fear or recklessness. Â âĤItâs never too late to take the box and just throw it away! Then, just watch and see what happensâhow amazing and exciting your personal and professional life without the box can be!â
