RadiusAI (RAI), the computer vision company that I co-founded, and where I serve as the Co-CEO, has won The AI Innovator at The Edge award from VentureBeat beating out established companies such as Boston Dynamics and the Innovation Team at Ford Motors. The RAI team has been working hard to execute a massive computer vision deployment in the retail sector that will place our technology in over a dozen states in the US.
This award is also significant as it highlights the fact that less than 2% of tech companies in the United States have at least one female founder. Furthermore, in AI, fewer than 10% of pilot projects ever go to full-scale production.Â
The goal we have at RAI is to be the most trusted vision provider in the retail and healthcare sectors. Over the past five years we have brought together an incredible team of engineers and data scientists to create proprietary models which operate at the edge. Edge compute is gaining increased traction for security and cost savings. According to a report by Grandview Research, edge compute is expected to have a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 39% to 2030.Â
In addition to this award, RAI has been consistently voted as a Top 10 Startup in the Phoenix market and we continue to expand our offices in Tempe, Arizona and Bellevue, Washington. The focus for growth will be greater penetration into the retail and healthcare sectors alongside strategic partners such as NVIDIA, Lenovo, Hanwha, and service providers such as Insight. We are very much looking forward to a strong finish to 2022 and advancing the company in 2023 and beyond.
